The Tetons are world-famous for outdoor winter recreation. With Grove Creek Lodge as your base camp, you can access three outstanding ski resorts, take an an authentic horse-drawn sleigh ride, or experience the thrill of dogsledding. From the front door of your cabin, you can cross-country ski or snowshoe on the vast trail system of the Targhee National Forest.

Here are some examples of what we have to offer:

THE FRESHEST POWDER WITH THE BEST VIEWS:
You want snow? Come on over! We are centrally located with easy access to the area's three world-class winter resorts:
Grand Targhee Ski & Summer Resort, Snowking Resort, and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The resorts offer excellent trails for alpine, telemark, and cross-country skiing and snowboarding. Or head on up to the top of the pass and break trail in the backcountry of the Tetons. For equipment rentals and guided backcountry ski tours, contact Yostmark and Rendezvous Ski and Snowboard Tours.

Wherever you go, the snow is perfect and the views are unbeatable!

DOG SLEDDING :
Experience the exuberance of a team of dogs, all pulling together to race you to the top of the world. We're never sure who has more fun -- us or the dogs.

SLEIGH RIDES:
Go back in time and enjoy an authentic horse-drawn sleigh ride. You will see majestic elk, raised and protected by Teton Mountain Ranch. Dress warm and bring your camera!

SNOWSHOEING:
What a great way to see the wilderness and all she has to offer: moose, elk, deer, coyotes and other wildlife. Take a guided tour or explore the backcountry trails through the National Forest from yourcabin.

SNOWMOBILING:
Pure excitement: that pretty much describes the feeling of touring the many miles of groomed trails through the Valley and the surrounding forest on a snowmobile. Guided tours and rentals are available through Teton Valley Adventures.

SHOPPING AND DINING: Had enough sun? Then head over to Jackson, WY (Jackson Hole) for a day of shopping and site seeing in this quaint, western town. Jackson is home to many fine shops and art galleries, movie theaters, and nightlife spots. Also check out the National Museum of Wildlife Art. Closer to home, Victor, Idaho has two great restaurants: The Knotty Pine, a classic western bar and eatery, and the Old Dewey House, an upscale gourmet restaurant. On a regular basis, the Knotty Pine attracts up-and-coming musicians touring the mountain states region.
WILDLIFE VIEWING: Whether you choose to hit the backcountry trails or simply relax in your cabin, chances are, you will see an abundance of wildlife: moose, elk, mule deer, raptors, coyotes, and lynx are just some of the neighbors who share the forest with us. Wildlife tours are available throughout the region. We recommend a camera and binoculars to enhance these special encounters.

ATTRACTIONS: Major attractions include Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park and Harriman State Park. Hop on a snowcoach and leave the over-snow driving to somebody else. Snowcoaches have been operating in Yellowstone National Park since 1955, providing a warm passage into Yellowstone's winter wonderland. For attraction information and ticket reservations, please contact the National Park Service (yellowstoneparknet.com).
