The greater Yellowstone area is world-famous for outdoor recreation. With Grove Creek Lodge as your base camp, you can explore the Big Hole and Teton Mountains, brave the waters of the Teton and Snake Rivers or capture the panoramic views in a glider or balloon.

Here are some examples of what we have to offer:

HIKING:
The cabin trails connect with a marked trail system in the Targhee National Forest. There are many routes for every level of enthusiast. If you would like a guided tirp, contact The Hole Hiking Experience. Bring your camera!

FLY FISHING:
This is a
fly fishing mecca! Whether a first-timer or experienced angler, you will fully enjoy the waters of Teton Valley. Join Lori Ann Murphy of Reel Women for a fun day on the river.

HORSEBACK RIDING:
Trail rides --
a great Western tradition and a great way to view the Tetons. There are several local outfitters who are available for guided rides. Take an unforgettable trip with a trusty companion.

MOUNTAIN BIKING:
Jump on your bike and you're on your way through the well-maintained trails of the National Forest. Need a bike? Let the specialists at Big Hole Mountain Sports set you up with a daily or weekly rental. They also have snowboards and a fantastic selection of gear. Check it out!

RIVER RAFTING:
Truly awesome
rafting can be found in this country. You can have either a white-knuckle, whitewater experience or a leisurely, scenic tour of the canyons. Rafting is for everyone! You can choose from a variety of reputable, long-standing rafting companies out of Jackson Hole.

OTHER TETON VALLEY ACTIVITIES are golf, burro packing (Fool's Gold Excursions), ballooning (Grand Teton Balloon Flights), llama trekking (Jackson Hole Llamas), kayaking, and rock climbing. We've got it all!

SHOPPING AND DINING: Had enough sun? Then head over to Jackson, WY (Jackson Hole) for a day of shopping and site seeing in this quaint, western town. Jackson is home to many fine shops and art galleries, movie theaters, and nightlife spots. Also check out the National Museum of Wildlife Art. Closer to home, Victor, Idaho has two great restaurants: The Knotty Pine, a classic western bar and eatery, and the Old Dewey House, an upscale gourmet restaurant. On a regular basis, the Knotty Pine attracts up-and-coming musicians touring the mountain states region.
WILDLIFE VIEWING: Whether you choose to hit the trails or simply relax in your cabin, chances are, you will see wildlife: moose, elk, mule deer, raptors, coyotes, and lynx are just some of the critters that share our neighborhood. We recommend a camera and binoculars to enhance these special encounters.

ATTRACTIONS: Major attractions include Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and the Grand Teton Music Festival.
